Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading or using the Sorted app ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. What Sorted does

Sorted is an iOS app that helps parents extract calendar events from school newsletters using AI, and save them to their calendar. The app is provided by Xavier Muhlebach ("we", "us", "our").

3. Use of the app

You agree to use Sorted only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You agree not to:

• Use the app in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app
• Use the app to process content you do not have the right to process
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any systems connected to the app

4. Google Calendar integration

Sorted offers an optional integration with Google Calendar via OAuth. By connecting your Google account, you authorise Sorted to create, update, and delete calendar events and list your calendars on your behalf. You can revoke this access at any time from the app's Settings screen or from your Google Account permissions page.

Your use of Google Calendar through Sorted is also subject to Google's Terms of Service.

5. In-app purchases

Sorted offers optional in-app purchases including a subscription and a lifetime purchase, processed through Apple's App Store. All purchases are subject to Apple's Terms and Conditions. We do not process or store any payment information. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their policies.

6. AI processing

Sorted uses AI (Anthropic's Claude) to extract event information from newsletters. AI extraction is not perfect — always review extracted events before saving them to your calendar. We are not responsible for errors in AI-extracted event details.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

Sorted is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that extracted event data will always be accurate. Use of the app is at your own risk.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Sorted, including but not limited to missed events due to incorrect calendar data.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
