We're here to help. Most answers are below — or just email us.
There are two ways. Inside the app, tap Import and choose a PDF or photo from your device. Or, when viewing a newsletter PDF in your email or Files app, tap the Share button and select Sorted from the share sheet — it'll open straight into the app ready to extract.
Sorted works with PDF files and photos/images (JPEG, PNG, HEIC). It can handle both digital PDFs (with selectable text) and scanned/photographed newsletters that are image-only — the AI reads both.
Sorted does its best but AI isn't perfect. If a date is written ambiguously (e.g. "next Friday") or buried in dense text, it may be missed. You can always add any missed events manually in your Calendar app. If the same newsletter consistently fails, please email us with a copy so we can improve.
School newsletters often list dates without the year (e.g. "Friday 14 March"). Sorted detects when a date looks like it's in the past and shows a warning banner with a Fix: +1 yr button. Tap it to bump the event forward by a year. You can also tap Edit on any event to change the title or date manually.
Set up child profiles in Settings → Profiles. Once a profile is created, you'll see child chips on the Review Events screen — tap a child's name on any event to assign it to them, or use the "Assign All" row at the top to apply a child to every event at once.
Free imports are tracked per device. If you've used your free imports and don't have an active subscription, you'll need to unlock Sorted to continue importing. Tap Unlock Sorted from the import screen or Settings to see options.
Go to Settings inside the app and tap Restore Purchase. This will check your App Store account for any previous purchases and restore your access. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you used to purchase.
Subscriptions are managed through the App Store. On your iPhone, go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions, find Sorted, and tap Cancel Subscription. You'll retain access until the end of the current billing period.
Your privacy is very important to us. Newsletter content is sent securely to an AI service for processing and is immediately discarded — it is never stored on our servers. No account is required and we collect no personal data. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.
All Sorted data is stored locally on your device only. To delete everything, simply delete the Sorted app from your iPhone. This removes all saved events, child profiles, and settings permanently.
Email us and we'll get back to you as quickly as we can. If you're reporting a bug, it helps to include your iPhone model and iOS version.
